Meet the adorable tigress of Ranthambore, Ladli (T-8)
Ladli (T-8) is a shy and dominant tigress that dominates the Balas, Chidi-Khoh and Kundal regions. She is the youngest of three siblings born to a tigress Kachida(T-5) and a male tiger Big Daddy (T-2). The main reason behind her name ‘Ladli’ is because she is the dearest among the three litters. Her brother T-6 roams in the Chiroli region whereas T-7, her other sibling, also called ST-6, was shifted to Sariska 2011 on 23rd February.
Cubs of Ladli (T-8)
Safari zones in Ranthambore National Park are known as spots for tiger viewing. Regarding Ladli (T-8), the zones under her dominance are 6, 7, and 8. The tigress made news about her cubs. She gave birth after mating with the male tiger Kumbha (T-34). In 2011, Ladli gave birth to two male and female cubs. In 2013, when both grew up, they separated from their mother and settled in different regions. The female whelp (T-61) went to Zone 8 (Balas region), the domain of her mom. Her one male cub is said to have been killed by a male tiger named Rocky (T-58).
At the same time, the male fledgling had to move out of the recreation zone. The second litter of Ladli was born in 2013 in the Balas region. In the mid-2014, she gave birth to cubs named T-86 and T-87. Among these, T-87 had died due to a clash with another tiger. The other sibling T-86 became the ruler of lakes. You can spot him in zones 3 and 4.
Ladli (T-8) produced two male tigers named Jai (T-108) and Veeru (T-109), who became the pride of Zone 6. Unfortunately, Veeru (T-109) was killed during a fierce territorial fight with Fateh (T-42). Once more, she gave birth to three cubs on 12 February 2020. She even made an appearance with her cubs in Zone 6 of Ranthambore National Park near Palli Darwaja. At that time, she had hunted a spotted deer. Her videos with cubs had also gone viral.
